Nearly 100% of CSI Counties are eRecording on the industry standard eRMConnect™ to make eRecording secure, simple and in conformance with PRIA and MISMO® national standards. Title 1 was the first LRMS vendor in the country to be certified on the nationwide eRMConnect™ system (http://ermconnect.net/) that uniformly manages, tracks, and expedites the entire process of electronically recording a document that conforms with the PRIA and MISMO® national standards. ERSP's, LRMS's and counties receive, review, route, reject, receipt, record, and return documents (similar to the way you process paper documents), typically within just minutes-through one simple, open platform, managed by eRMConnect™. Visit the eRMConnect™ website for a listing of all the ERSPs, LRMS and Counties using eRMConnect™.

CSI's Kevin Cook attended PRIA's Annual Conference in Omaha presenting an update on the Standards and Best Practices Committee study of Blockchain Technology. Blockchain technology has been widely misunderstood and misrepresented. Blockchain evangelist claim that the very limited technology will restore trust using 'smart contracts' that can eliminate existing human intermediaries such as the locally elected Recorder/Register. The reality is that Blockchain by itself does nothing because it is a very limited spreadsheet. The truth is that most 'blockchain' systems use very little of the blockchain system, are highly centralized systems not on the blockchain main-net, with centralized human intermediaries who want to replace existing trusted human intermediaries with themselves.

PRIA had several presentations on Property Fraud. Nearly 100% of the property fraud is identity theft, the filing of a fraudulent documents or false mortgage application. Never has fraud been committed by the locally elected and trusted Recorder/Register altering existing property records or inserting fraudulent records. The locally elected Recorder/Register has been and continues to be the trusted intermediary who provides objective truth that the public can trust. Since fraud is not committed by altering documents, this debunks the need for a blockchain land registry.

Property Fraud The trust of the county records is paramount. Recorders across the country can't refuse to put a record into the official and public land registry just because they suspect that a document may be fraudulent. To help prevent property fraud CSI can offer homeowners and others a way to be notified in the event that a document is recorded that is relevant to them or their property. Go to Home - Doxpop Property Watch. The Property Fraud Alert system is both name and property based which will prevent homeowners from getting false alerts.

T1Archive Most counties trust CSI's T1Achive to fully manage their archiving and digitization records management. We have new guidelines for archiving and digitizing your historical records with Title 1. As your official records management vendor please contact us for the guidelines and our fully integrated archive records management services. T1Archive can manage the entire archival and digitization of your historical records.

T1Protect thwarts Ransomware - July 23, 2019 Vigo County, Indiana. In a news release, Commissioner Brendan Kearns, the county's computer system was attacked by a malware (virus) program that has adversely affected daily operations. That attack has resulted in some information stored on internal servers being locked down and not accessible for several days and weeks. Thankfully for the Recorder's office they had CSI's T1Protect. CSI was able to restore the Recorder's systems within 24 hours of notification. Most of us think it will never happen to our county. Please take this important warning seriously. Fortunately, we had Disaster Recovery Protection with CSI. Stacee Todd, Vigo County (IN) Recorder
